What is it?

SocialDash is a web app that connects users through all forms of social media in a hub, allowing them to communicate and collaborate with one another. It takes sites such as Facebook and twitter and combines their news feeds into one whilst ensuring you can communicate through the built-in chat. This means you no longer need to visit multiple sites when it all exists in a single place.

Design

The concept of SocialDash is that it aggregates all of you social feeds in one place, with that in mind I've incorporated the most popular features and ideas that already exist within the biggest social platforms. A users experience with dashboard is intended for communication, collaboration and efficiency as well as fun.

Responsive Design

The Dashboard is designed in a modular structure in order to respond to multiple screens effectively. The order of formation correlates with the desktop design and maintains a very similar experience.

All in One Place

• Scroll through all your social media news feeds.

• Create projects and collaborate with other users.

• Create and monitor events with friends.

• Communicate with friends through the built-in chat.

• Concentrate personal thoughts and ideas in a dedicated section.

• Cut, copy, share and save images, videos,gifs and articles.

• Monitor trending stories around the world culminated through reddit popularity using upvotes.

How I did it

Customer Insights & Ideation

I studied similar collaborative platforms to uncover insights and translate concepts into prototypes that address customer behaviours and motivations for using these platforms.

Experience Strategy & Vision

I created wireframes and prototypes to explore the vision, design principles and content strategy. This helped me to clearly visualise ideas, gain alignment and drive decision making.

Planning & Scope Definition

I defined the product with focus groups and user oriented meetings to figure out their needs as well as balanced business goals.

Oversight & Coordination

I designed initially on paper where I was able to structure my ideas and eventually moved onto digital platforms where I could organise them.

Design Execution & Validation

I executed journeys, wireframes, prototypes and design specs.
