Apple Health - Steps widget

I've always wondered why Apple didn't make a widget for the Steps tracker in its Health App for iOS. As a result, I had to download another third-party app just for this function, that however locks behind a paywall all the detailed stats that Health already offers. Despite the presence of the Sleep tracker widget, the Steps one would be an easy but useful option that I'd love to see on my iPhone home screen.
