While economic development was greatly impeded in 2020, the importance of the water space remained critical. Communities clamor for the sustainable provision of basic utilities such as potable water and sanitation services. Manila Water recognizes the importance of having sufficient water supply and sanitation services amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. This integrated report was made to give their stakeholders not only a view of the Company’s key financial and sustainability performances for the year 2020, but also give a glimpse on the Company’s response regarding the Covid-19 pandemic and the various natural disasters that have occurred in the country that year such as the Taal Volcano Eruption and the devastation of Typhoon Ulysses.
