Viteza 3d car

I've always grown up loving cars and wanted to design my own car in Blender :)

I started with some rough sketches. Obviously I'm not an illustrator, but hopefully it encourages you to break out of your comfort zone and try something new. A tip is to trace the outline of an existing car, then fill in the details.

Getting the overall shape in Blender was interesting and required a lot of tinkering to make it look right. Eventually it started to look more and more like a car as more details were inserted. Another point of encouragement is to keep at it, even when you are initially frustrated and want to give up. There is always opportunity to learn if you keep going.

Every cool car needs a cool logo, so I made one :) Also "Viteza" means speed in Romanian.

A rough preview using some volumetric lighting to get that foggy effect. Learned the hard way that is generates a lot of noise 🙃

Overall I learned a lot by taking this journey and I'm sure there is still a ton more to explore and learn!
