Personal project - From Kindle highlights to Markdown

I like to save my highlights from Kindle to Logseq (my note-taking tool) so I can easily review them later. But this process was kind of time-consuming, and I used to postpone it.

One day, feeling the same pain, my partner, decided to create a solution using appsmith: an app that converts highlights from Kindle to markdown.

🚀 It instantly removes unnecessary paragraphs from Kindle Highlights, and adds markdown, copying it to clipboard - ready to paste on a note-taking tool.

So much easier!

While using it today, I asked him if I could make a revamp, just for fun, as it was already useful. I wanted to play with the title, highlighting its benefits, and stand out the main actions such as pasting the text, converting, and copying.

He accepted and gave me access to Appsmith - so I could edit myself. 🤩

The 'after' image was from the design I did before going to update the actual app.

Given some UI limitations on Appsmith, that I learned on the go, the final result in production did not end up exactly like in Figma, but as I enjoyed doing it I decided to share.

Hope you like it. :)
