logo design for digital humanities project

This logo was created to show land cessions and profits regarding the 1862 Morrill Act. It was important to the project team to have typography that was more geometric in shape to mirror the square land parcels that are part of the larger project, a nod to the shape of CT as seen in the baseline of the main logo, and extending lines to acknowledge the land in the western part of the US that supports Connecticut's Land-Grant University, located where the white lines converge. created in illustrator
