Vinyl Record Design

The design solution needed to prioritize the sentiment of the album itself. The word ‘solitude’ implies a distance, but the definition can be positive or negative depending on one’s experience. Finding a visual balance between chaos and structure embodies the feeling of disorientation while keeping it controlled. A collage technique allows elements to play off of each other in a seemingly chaotic way, but strategic alignment, proximity, and a visual hierarchy create a sense of togetherness. The design precedents set within the album cover itself were further curated to the press kit and merchandise products to provide a cohesive overall identity with flexible variations.
