Onion Union

I've always had a hard time with the word "onion" because I felt it should be spelled "union" (un-yin). But then "union" would have to be changed to "yoonion" (yoon-yin)... or something like that, I don't know. Anyways, my confusion made a decent subject for some type exercise.
