Vacation Planner is our own product, born from a common desire of the employees and the management team to make submitting and managing days off a breeze. Our former process involved more steps and tools than we’d have liked, and made the whole process quite time consuming.
Thus, we took matters into our own hands. Our solution was a simple, calendar-based leave manager app, which is transparent and easy enough to send and accept a request in just a few taps.
Current process
If someone wants to take a day off, the Project Manager needs to approve it. After the approval, an email with a document attached with the personal data needs to be sent out to the Human Resources team. The HR team will print out the document which needs to be signed in person.
The research brought up the users main needs, goals, and behaviours. Based on these, we were able to define the core features.
The aim was a clean, modern look that helps users fulfil their requests in a transparent, easy and quick way.
