KAWEAH COFFEE ROASTERS
Illustrations(label, t-shirts) for Coffee Company.
The truck is located in the foothills of Sequoia National Park.
(Tree Rivers, CA).
Kaweah Coffee Roasters is a small coffee roaster that sells coffee beans and a new coffee infused natural body care line (such as coffee scrubs, body butter, beard oil, and salve). The primary objective is to take coffee beans into a wider lifestyle brand. For this project, the client wants the primary objective to transition from the current logo to one integrating the crow on the grinder to expand the market.
ILLUSTRATION CONCEPT:
⦁ 'Crow' as a mascot.
⦁ Three solid black designs for the purpose of printing onto t-shirts, mugs, digital assets, etc.
⦁ Crow and grinder
⦁ Just crow
⦁ Just a grinder
Target audience: Enthusiasts who also enjoy the outdoor lifestyle, live music festivals, and breweries and I decided to follow a modern/old school/vintage design and illustrations.
INSPIRATION BY THE CLIENT:
Vintage grinder and the crow screaming.
The 3 first Designs were Black to start, however, the client asked for other projects like labels and packaging for the can and the Sherman tree.
Sherman tree Illustration: The design is for "General's Blend" coffee. This blend is inspired by the ancient trees of Sequoia National Park where we live. Specifically, The General Sherman tree, which is the largest tree by volume in the world and nearly three thousand years old.
The design concept of the label tin and bag is the crow (mountains behind), with the title "Kaweah Coffee Roasters" in the font Rumble Brave arching over the crow, with the background behind the crow a burnt orange sun. The balance of the label, is Tiffany blue, potentially with flocking crows in the background of the design.
