460 Bread Logo Concept
I was commissioned to do a logo for a upscale bakery based in Teton Valley Idaho that specialized in artisan breads. I texturized the background using a subtle topgraphical map pattern that was specific to the region.
"460" was set in Myriad Pro Bold and is a reference to the temperature the bakery cooked its bread at. I attempted to evoke the image of wheat by striking a line through the word "bread," which was set in the small caps variant of Chapparal. I set an alternate version using Museo Sans 700 for "460" and Museo Slab for "bread" (which was super-positioned like a degree symbol).
Ultimately, the client chose to go a different direction.
