Task Manager - Case Study
Objective
To design a mobile app to manage your daily tasks.
About the App
You must be able to manage all your "Daily Tasks" in this application, to increase your productivity. It must be a mixup of Task Manager & To-do app!!
The Research
I started discussing the idea with my friends and colleagues to get the first ideas for the roadmap. the main challenge here was the difference between the To-Do & Task Manager apps, each part solves a problem for users, and based on my research I decided to use both features inside the app.
Here is the roadmap for the app:
1- Business Analysis
I started researching features that other big companies have implemented:
By reviewing competitors and their features and comparing their functionality, we'll get the idea of our features and it is the first step of designing the platform.
Pain Points:
- Adding Task
- Easy access to important Tasks
- Organizing Tasks
- Simple and modern
- Meeting Management!
Business Analysis
I started researching features that other big companies have implemented:
Wireframes
I always use low-fidelity wireframes because they help you communicate your product's “big idea” rather than the specific details.
I'll do it on a piece of paper or with some other tools like Figjam.
Visual Designs
I tried to design a simple, clean, and modern UI, So I didn't use different colors and a fancy UI for this project, at first I designed a design system:
