Sarah Dayan 2015
I'm the first to say that if you're rebranding yourself every year, you failed as a logo designer and you should probably have it done by someone else. However, I must say my current logo wasn't really made to last, but to launch a website that needed to go out as fast as possible (if you saw my previous website, you know why). Now that I have everything up and running, I want to work for myself as I would for a client.
What I like with monograms is that you can display actual readable letters and have a something that can be viewed as a simple symbol at the same time.
I want to keep it for a significant period of time so it has to remain simple and timeless. My goal is to convey an artsy vibe that isn't too puzzling for people who work outside the creative industry. I'm definitely not trying to "target everyone" but I'm not boxing myself to designing for artists only. I need it to be memorable and easy to fit in any context.
This is a first draft. I'd be very happy to read your thoughts.
