SWIFT TIX
SWIFT TIX is a Figma mockup for a ticket sales website. It focuses specifically on music events rather than all live events, offering concert & festival tickets to fans who are tired of the resellers, scalpers, and bots that make it impossible for them to see the artists they love at affordable prices. The concept stemmed from a prompt provided by Google as part of their UX Design Certificate program.
This was my first time designing a modern website, and it was pretty apparent early on that this would be a much more exhaustive & meticulous process than my first UX project. Translating the visual ideas I imagined into interactive design elements allowed me to master creating, using, and maintaining component variant sets in Figma. One particular challenge was implementing dynamically sized sections like the FAQ or Coachella Passes section, which I was able to solve by learning how to use Figma’s Auto Layouts. I also had a lot of fun experimenting heavily with the different animation types, curves, and times available to make sure the website had no jarring transitions.
To make this website stand out, I wanted to take a fair share of creative risks, but I made sure that the user and their convenience remained the focal point of all my design decisions- otherwise it would just be a glorified art project. I’m happy with the balance I’ve found here with providing a user experience that is both inventive and effective.
