CodeSee: Map Tours

CodeSee’s software generates visual maps to make it easier and faster for developers to understand codebases. But CodeSee—a highly visual product—had an extended gap between in-house designers during a period of critical product development. Our team stepped in and fully integrated into the CodeSee team to support UI/UX and product design on their highly technical product.

In addition to product design, we supported the full redesign of their marketing website with visuals to quickly demonstrate the value and concepts behind their highly technical dev tool.

Their Tours feature allows developers to walk someone through different parts of a CodeSee Map to provide context for onboarding, review, or collaboration. Through multiple iterations of design work, our final design helps surface tour points attached to nodes in the Map that have been moved or deleted, alerting developers when an update may be necessary.
