snacks on snacks

snacks is a movie theatre snack ordering app which allows users to order snacks from their seat. Everyone has had the experience of trying to juggle an armful of snacks and then trying to find your seat in the dark. This app would eliminate that problem and allow movie-goers to find their seats, and order their snacks in peace.

I developed the logo in Adobe Illustrator by manipulating the typography. I made each letter its own object and then moved them closer together and changed their angle a bit. I wanted to keep the brand fun and simple. The colours I chose are pulled from my favourite movie, The Lion King. I took a photo from the movie and used the eye dropper tool to pull the hex codes from Zazu (blue), Mufasa (orange), and Scar (black).

The app was originally built for a mobile device, but through design iteration I realized this app would probably live on a tablet in the real world. So I redesigned it for a tablet.
