DS Josephine – CI & Bespoke typeface

A corporate identity was designed for the Berlin illustrator and artist Josephine Rais. A complete custom typeface was developed, which is the main design element of the complete appearance. Starting with the motifs, through the colouring to new perspectives, diversity is transported in Josephine's work. This aspect was transferred to a variable font, which was given a “diversity axis”. This creates a typeface that can interpolate from light to bold on one axis, but also from grotesque to diverse. These characteristics are the foundation for the further development of the CI.
