»O« Drop Cap ...
... yesterday I stumbled upon the very nice pinterest pins of our Dribbble colleague @Meagan Ryan. There I spotted something very familiar, – an image of an antique, richly ornamented »O« drop cap from the 19th century. The source of this beautiful drop cap is an antique booklet, which is part of my »inspiration archive«, called "Album du Peintre en Bâtiment" (1882, ed. Ducher et cie, Paris, France.
Since I really love the ornamentation of this drop cap, last night I decided to draw an almost authentic vector of this beautiful »O« to be used as master for a poster for my studio. The result you see here above. In case anybody else likes this drop cap, I share my vector files (.ai, .eps, .svg) here.

In case anybody likes to have a high resolution .pdf of this antique booklet containing some really nice painted alphabets and »drop caps« I share it here (24mb): DOWNLOAD
