Explore Playing Cards - Kickstarter

Hello everybody,

I'm kinda happy and proud to share this project today, on which i have been working on for quite a while. Explore is the baby of Harris Soetkino, who contacted me some weeks ago and asked me to finalize the product.

"Explore is an expression of limitless imagination on what, where and how your next holiday can look like. The deck proudly showcases 52 popular destinations in drop-dead simple illustrations that you can enjoy even on your weekly poker nights."

My role in this project is a little hard to explain, but in a nutshell I was on the one hand developing the look and feel of the product from a very playful attempt into a more distinctive and minimalistic direction. On the other hand I was editing and adding final touches to the illustration work that has originally been done by @Daniel Haire and Tonia Gao. Both did an amaaaaaazing job and it was a pleasure to iterate the illustrations of all the different venues, cities and places. Basically I made sure that everything looks consistent, I added some details here and there or removed details there and here, just to achieve a fun yet elegant look for the final deck.

So yes, that's it - this shot shows some assets I have been putting together for the Explore Kickstarter Campaign , please take a look and enjoy your flight around the world.
