Nile

So I went a little crazy for Christmas this year. This is a board game I made for my mother. We grew up playing this really old board game called Nile, and we often still play when I visit my parents house.

So this year I made her a fancy version from scratch.

It's made of two pieces of wood (with cork backing) that have magnets that keep them together. The markings on the board are all hand painted.

All the tiles are granite and have the line carved into them and painted.

It's got fancy little tile holders, custom score pads and awesome canvas bags that my girlfriend made to hold the tiles and other pieces.

I built the box, too, and added fabric to the front of it with the Nile logo. I also added the rules to the inside of the lid.

Anyway, i'm hoping she likes it! And if any of you are looking for a fun board game to try out, dig around on ebay and find one of these old nile games.
