Instagram Filter Tiles

Instagram has used various images to show the effects of filters on your content over the years, from trees to shoes to hot-air balloons. Today we’re making the first substantial change to this system, by migrating filter files to show dynamic content.

Our new tiles do a better job of showcasing what each filter is actually going to do to your content before tapping it. Usability is still the same with one-tap filtering and two-tap intensity control.

We have also added the ability to tap & hold the filter to re-arrange it in your filter tray, and hide filters if you like. We’ve also added a new Filter Manager at the end of your filters tray to add back filters you’ve hidden.
