Meal Maestro Brand Mark (WIP)

Branding progress for a client and close friend launching a revolutionary web application next year. Full logo coming soon... Original sketch is also attached.

I chose an ambigram in the circle as it was symbolic of a food on a plate, unity, balance, and the fact that food / cooking is about preparing AND consuming which is I consider "2 sides of the plate". I also wanted something lean, light, and personable as the app will be promoting healthy eating and weight loss.
