Brand Identity: Orange Submarine

Orange Submarine, the aquatic identity of cinematographer Mark Broadbent ACS, is a Brisbane-based company that offers underwater cinematography services to the film industry.

The client was originally drawn to my personal branding, as it was along the lines of what they envisioned for OS - a 60s movies-styled orange submarine.

At the beginning of the process, a few initial sketches were dismissed until we settled on a draft that took it in a different direction to go along with the brand’s character & technical requirements.

Once the main logo was finalized, we expanded the concept and created a cohesive visual identity system to ensure brand consistency and an unified experience across all marketing channels and touch points.

The overall feel is vintage, with a modern twist. The hand-drawn illustrations are accompanied by a modern sans serif and a classic, legible script font.
