InPaaS is a web app within the YieldX platform that allows the user to target a specific yield, risk, or monthly income.

Making simplicity engaging

Problem

This application is extremely minimal (only 3 inputs). This meant it would be a challenge to make the app both engaging & visually pleasing.  

Solution

To make the app more engaging, I created a 3-step process, where each future step was disabled until the user completed (hit enter) the previous step. Upon completion, that number animates into a checkmark. 

Typically, business requirements are somewhat long. It's often a designer's responsibility to reduce content & visuals down to the essentials. However, this time, it was the opposite. To enhance the visual side, I added a container to house everything, I wrote a bit of UX copy, & I added a subtle background texture to add a bit more oomph. 

The final result was a simple app which helped users to create a portfolio, literally, within about a minute.
