E-COMMERCE WEBSITE

With international trade picking up after the supply chain sector had almost been crippled during the pandemic, online shopping is slowly making its way back as well. With this design, you will get to see how websites and brands can be ranked by user rating, and products with the highest rating get to have a dedicated page for easier accessibility and exposure.

The fun bit is when I added an external 3rd party mobile payment feature recently launched by Safaricom and Visa in East Africa. The M-PESA GlobalPay Visa Virtual Card will be exclusive for international, online payments outside the country to protect customers from incurring forex conversion costs on local online payments billed in Kenya Shillings.

With the Virtual card, customers can now pay for their products without adding their credit/debit card at checkout. The M-PESA GlobalPay VISA Virtual card is a timely service tailored to meet the increasing needs of Kenyans using global apps and shopping websites for entertainment, retail, business, and even when traveling abroad.

KUNE MOBILE APP

Kune is a local food brand in Nairobi Kenya. It caters to a mid-low demographic who have time constraints preparing a quality meal for themselves.

The task here was to re-imagine the UI into something vibrant and appealing. For the UX - we went for something simple and practical for the user to order already known African meals. Nonetheless, we decided to gamify the ordering process with the swipe functionality to make it quick and easy to order from Kune.

For our research - we tried the product for a week across a focus group and got insights from all gender classes for design inclusivity.

The design has so far morphed and will share once the iterations are agreed upon by stakeholders.
