Hedy Lamarr

Austrian-born American actress Hedy Lamarr, known as "the most beautiful woman in the world", was also an ingenious inventor. The patent she filed with co-inventor George Antheil for frequency-hopping technology in 1941 became a precursor to the secure WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and other wireless technologies we have today.
