Cryptocurrency Education Platform (UX)

The Brief

To design and build a Cryptocurrency Education Centre (UX)

Goals:􏰅

  • Understand why users have reservations around purchasing cryptocurrency and alleviate these concerns through the Education Centre

  • Encourage new and existing users to invest in cryptocurrency using the Rain platform

  • Educate existing and new users on cryptocurrency and related newJ

  • Ultimately gain more users/investors through providing education

Research

I reached out to some people to gain some data to validate the feature. Below are the key findings.

It’s clear that from those surveyed, with more knowledge and access to an education platform they would be more likely to invest in cryptocurrency.

This validates the need for an Education Centre and could result in more active users investing through the Rain platform.

For those who have already invested, it’s clear that they are interested in learning further and about different topics which could encourage them to continue investing.

An Education Centre for different levels of knowledge would be useful.

This is just an introduction into the research we could carry out, a deeper dive into some of the questions asked could help with other roadmap items.

User Personas

From my findings, I created these persona's to refer to throughout the process:

User Journeys, Opportunity and QTBA

A breakdown of our users problems, actions, goals and opportunity for this feature

Then I developed an information architecture that fitted within the current platform...

An some wireframes to visualise the outcome:

For mobile, and for web.

Success Metrics

How can we measure the success of the Education Centre?

Initially we can look at all the usual metrics such as,

  • Session duration

  • Completion of topics

  • Returning users

  • New sign-ups

  • Investments per user over a defined period of time

Specifically, we can come back to initial research where we aim to target and alleviate any concerns from potential/existing users. If we alleviate the issues following the education, and these users invest, this is the ultimate measurement of success.

To summarise...

With the use of external sources to prompt users to join Rain/take part in Rain Storm, we can encourage users to take part. Using marketing via social media and other relevant platforms, users can be encouraged to begin their crypto journey.

An instagram feed that features daily crypto tips? A twitter dedicated to crypto education? There are other areas to explore outside the platform itself to help educate and onboard users.
