Maverick Charters is a family owned and operated charter fishing company established in 2015 that started with a single boat, the Julia Lynn, and has grown into a successful four boat operation. With hard work and dedication to their community, Maverick Charters has become one of the highest rated fishing charter operations in their hometown, Homer, AK. They partnered with us to help them create a new and engaging website to better serve the fishing enthusiasts who visit Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula.

The Challenge

An attention grabbing site to separate themselves from competition.

The challenge for Maverick Charters was to create an appealing site that better showcased and provided ample information about the types of remote fishing experiences they offer. Part of the challenge was creating a site with a custom design to differentiate themselves from competitors who all seemed to use similar site-building templates. Other challenges included improving SEO, integrating FareHarbor booking software, and providing a modern but simple admin experience.

The Solution

A custom design and effortless admin console.

We created a custom design to match Maverick Charters’ brand and unique logo. With an arsenal of high quality boating and fishing pictures provided by Maverick Charters, we created compelling graphics that draw the eye and stimulate the imagination. We also built upon WordPress CMS to create a customized admin, which allows for the custom design to easily be managed with little to no technical experience or knowledge of code.

The Results

Customer engagement and site traffic scale rapidly.

Following the launch of their new site, organic traffic has increased exponentially and continues to improve. Additionally, within the week following the launch of the new site, conversions increased for both contact form entries and bookings, which is a result of the UI/UX changes that allow for easy navigation and absorption of information. Like the rest of our clients, we will continue to monitor and improve through data driven decisions and A/B testing. The client and their customers are ecstatic with the results and cannot wait until we launch their online merch store.
