If you're not from the Upstate of the Carolinas, you may not know about the three lakes that make our state parks so great!

Lake Jocassee has the highest elevation and the most pristine crystal clear water. Jocassee, in short is the most unreal lake around. From the forest that surrounds it. To the water itself, Jocassee is awesome.

Keowee is in the middle. You can expect great water surrounded by easy-access campsites and pinetree islands.

And then there's Heartwell. In short, Heartwell is better than not having a lake, but all the locals know that if you're taking a trip, you might as well drive a few more minutes to its cooler older brother Lake Keowee.
