Inclusivity ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ - Social Media Post

โ€œValues are like lighthouses, they give us direction, meaning, and purpose.โ€, wrote Ramya on the office board in the morning. Today, it was her turn to write the โ€œQuote of the Dayโ€. Why is it always โ€œQuote of the Dayโ€ and not โ€œQuote for the Lifeโ€? she wonders.ย ย

ย

She opens her laptop and starts to work. She has recently joined SandCup Design Studio, and has found a lovely group of colleagues to help her. Unlike her previous job, which she had to quit after going through transition surgery. Ramya was born as Ramesh, but never felt like Ramesh. Last year she finally took the step to transition her body into a woman.ย ย

ย

โ€œGuys, shall we go for a trip to the beach tomorrow?โ€ shouts Ajay, Ramyaโ€™s best buddy at her new workplace. Ajay was the one who recommended SandCup to Ramya. Ramya was delighted to see proper pronouns in their forms and gender-neutral washrooms.ย

ย

โ€œItโ€™s an amazing beach, with gorgeous seashells and crystal-clear water.โ€ Continues Ajay as everyone seems to cheer him. The beach is indeed amazing. Ramya goes for a nice walk and plays a few games with the team at the beach. Near the horizon, she notices a lighthouse. Perhaps she has found the right direction, meaning, and purpose.ย ย ย

----ย

This is just a small story of how we all can make people feel included and accepted.ย ย

Weโ€™re doing our bit, are you?ย
