Adept App Case Study

Project Brief:

Adept is a caregiving app where caregivers can easily see the tasks other nurses are performing for the day and when their shifts will end or begin. They will schedule the meeting with a patient.

Project timeline: 4 months

Role: UX Designer, UI Visual Researcher 

Timeline: 3 Months

Problem Statement:

Caregivers, cleaners, housewives often forget to complete important tasks of the day and need  guidance to complete important tasks of the day. 

Scope and Constraints:

The challenge about designing the app was to make the calendar design consistent across the app. Another challenge was to add a feature that will make the housekeeper, caregiver track the person taken care of when they were not on their site.

Research:

User Stories:

Mimi is a babysitter for a 5 year old Maxwell. She often forgets to order her tasks in order of the most important and wishes that an app help order her life. Mimi started babysitting  3 months ago and she finds it overwhelming. She is a part time student in university and needs an app that will include a calendar and a note ticker.

Veronica is a 36 year old mum of 2. She works at the old-age house and often gets too busy to complete all the tasks assigned to her. She needs to take care of her family too and finds it difficult to transition between her caregiving work and family responsibilities.

Hypothesis statement:

If Mimi could use the Adept app to schedule her babysitting tasks and university studies then she can cover all her daily tasks.

If Veronica could use the Adept App then she can have time for her family too. 

The solution:

• Add the note taking feature

• Add the notification task alert feature

• Add the schedule notifications app

Summary

Deliverables:

I designed an app where housekeepers and guardians can keep track of their daily home tasks such as caregiving, babysitting etc…

Knowledge:

Caregivers, housekeepers etc.. can connect with their holders wherever they are and connect with other caregivers etc.. in their community. 

Convenience:

The app has a feature which reminds them of the task they need to attend to. 

Future Roadmaps:

I will need to research and find out if the app can allow for the housekeeper, caregiver, babysitter assign tasks to the person being cared for.
