London Olympics

I created this a couple of years ago as part of an internal design challenge at an agency I interned with. I still really love how it turned out and my thinking behind it. It doesn't happen often, but I get so much pleasure seeing this piece over and over again...

For this, I pulled together main three ideas into one shape: the Olympic rings (global), the London Underground logo (local), and the Olympic track (sports). I was inspired by the 1976 Montreal Olympics, which you can see pretty easily, and I only just realized how much my thinking paralleled Montreal's. I still had fun creating it, though...
