McDonald's: The Last Straw Illustration

Excited to share my recent collaboration with McDonald's Canada to create an illustration that expresses my own perspective on sustainability. The landscape illustration I created was inspired by Spirit Island at Maligne Lake here in Alberta.

My illustration was printed on upcycled McDonald's trays made from some remaining plastic straws following their transition to paper straws in 2021. A diverse group of 15 Canadian and Indigenous artists were selected to use these trays as canvases to portray their own unique styles of art. The trays will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities across Canada so they can be enjoyed by volunteers and families.
