A little more painterly around the edges... Update, someone asked to see the process so I changed it into a case study

Always do a quick drawing. Sometimes not so quick. If I am going to paint I may just leave it with simple lines.

A quick a messy grayscale paintover.

dig in a refine. Usually require a paintover if I have not fully developed the grayscale. The overlay of color gives me a good base to start with though

a bit of blending and softening. Texture is the last bit. I think in this case I should have left it as we see it below.
