BuildwithFramer.com / New Landing Page

During my sabbatical starting last year, I started working towards my goal of building my personal / portfolio website. For this, I have been researching for a few months to find other creators/designers who run a very well designed & organized personal / portfolio website.

Soon, I realised a lot of designers don't have a website of their own and the major reason was the lack of infrastructure, time, and energy that's required to launch and maintain a personal / portfolio website.

At the time, I had the idea of releasing a portfolio template. The idea also coincided with Framer's new Site release which was introduced as beta and I could see myself making the portfolio site as a template in Framer vs. using Webflow or other no-code tools.

To gauge demand, I tweeted asking "I want to help designers ship their portfolio in 2-3 hours max. Drop a below if you'd like to be a part of the pilot run." - and to my surprise the tweet went viral and I got a lot of positive response.

Over the next couple of weeks, I worked on a simple landing page and the designer's portfolio template. The 1st version of landing page was much simpler and mostly followed a black & white theme.

I am getting back to releasing more templates this month and did a refresh this weekend of the landing page - cutting down sections, redesigning a few UI components, etc.
