Diabetes Pal iOS App Icon

The big challenge with this work was to avoid using the typical Diabetes metaphors: blood, red, droplets and needles. A user's disease is about much more than the act of pricking the finger BUT diabetes revolves around a user's identity. Thus we combined the idea of the fingerprint as a metaphor for the act as well as showing that diabetes is a part of their identity. This also led to the use of the diabetes awareness ring as well.
