Book Cover Series: Where the Crawdads Sing

I've recently been inspired by a book club I've joined and am starting a new design series of book covers for each book we read.

Book 1: "Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens. Published by G.P. Putnam's Sons

For the illustration I referenced scientific illustrations and photography by local marsh grasses and shrubs. Other books I used for artistic research and inspiration were:

"Japan Journeys" by Andreas Marks

"Botanicum: curated by Katie Scott and Kathy Willis

The title is set in my typeface, Bayou, which was stylistically influenced by this novel.
