L1 - 03. Sony PS-F5 Turntable
The third day of my Blender exploration & experimentation. Getting to know the Non-Photorealistic Render a little bit today and love how it turned a mediocre scene/model into something interesting to look at.
I started very rough, used a cube, and quickly created a shape that resembled the reference image. Then, I added a few things here and there to add a little bit more detail, but not too much.
I tried to finish it off by expanding on my previous idea of shot composition in an hour. I wouldn't say I liked the result at all:
I wondered what it would look like without lights turned on, and I liked the flatness of the image a lot more, I adjusted the colors a bit and turned off the shadows on the main source of light:
After making a few adjustments to every material in the scene and playing with NRP methods, I finally came up with the final image you see above:
Total time spent on exercise was 2hrs and 20min.
