While we use the candidate's photo in many materials, we wanted a way to include his face in places where it's impractical to include a full-color photo.

One of our main goals with this identity is to stand out from other campaigns (past & present) and break out of the tired rut that political branding has been stuck in for...ever.

Unique elements like this immediately jump out in printed materials, and help establish the candidate as an individual rather than just another name on the ballot.
