"UGLY" — Behind the Scenes: Colour Experiments
Some experimental off-cuts from the production of “UGLY” — a very short film exploring the beauty in some of London’s most iconic Brutalist buildings.
About these experiments
In these shots, I was experimenting with colour in the titles. I eventually decided to roll with the off-white titles in the end, as it felt a little less opinionated and might age better. The off-white is actually a super pale green which I felt gave it a subtle accent over the near-monochromic colour grading — which was rooted in a hint of red.
