Steampunk Johnny’s Logo

My client was opening a coffee shop in Ventura, California and wanted a steampunk theme for his business. He envisioned turn of the century inspired lettering accompanied with dark, rich colors. We came up with a logo that portrays just that, with a graphic that lends itself to the steampunk style, while also encompassing a nice, warm cup of coffee. I've included some of my process work that led me to this design.
