Rogers Park Sigil

I was asked by a friend to help design a mark for Roger's Park in Chicago. Like all urban settings, it is inhabited by two main species, humans and pigeons, however, the neighborhood's close proximity to the lake also welcomes many seagulls. This creates an ongoing battle between these two birds for food. Noticing this, he asked that I create a crest for the neighborhood.
