Freedom, or vrijheid in Dutch 🇳🇱🌷
On the 5th of May, we celebrate the liberation of the Netherlands from the German aggressors back in 1945. We take a moment to be thankful for the freedom we experience today and commemorate the people who gave their lives to pursue it. We are well aware that we should not take it for granted. The war in Ukraine which is right at our doorstep, reminds us of that.
On this day we have stages across cities with bands and dj's playing, crowds of people in city centres and parks, and plenty of beer to go around! 🍻
