Problem Statement

A dog owner who needs to find a walker who can work with their busy schedule and that their dog trusts.

User Research

Four dog owners were interviewed: a paramedic that works 24hr shifts with a high energy husky, a single mom who has a pit mix puppy, new parents with 2 large labs, and a mother that walks dogs for her friends. None of them currently use an app but agree that it would be convenient to use.

Onboarding

New users are encouraged to create a profile and complete a short 6 step assessment so the app can intelligently give recommendations: location, dog's leash behavior, & walker's affinity with dog breeds. This will save the user time and energy from reviewing each walker profile.

Meet & Greet

User research showed a common pain point was concerns of how the dog would behave with a stranger. The app encourages users to set up a Meet & Greet first, so the dog & owner can meet the walker before booking a walk, to see if it is a good fit. Try before you buy.

Search Walkers

The search cards are clean and efficient with the app recommended dog walkers marked with a blue check, that are easily noticeable at a glance.

Walker Profile

The dog walker profile photo is large so the user knows who exactly they are working with. Walker experience, reviews, and location are within easy scrollable taps. There is in-app messaging that allows the owner to check-in live during the walk.

Book Again is featured on the home page. If the owner and dog liked the walker, they can easily select them again.
