Logo Design for El Gallo Taqueria

Logo Concept for a Mexican restaurant specializing in tacos & enchiladas, located in Brooklyn, NY.

The client envisioned a colorful, welcoming logo that reflects the owners’ Mexican heritage and tradition. The objective was to create a memorable design that resonates with locals and their families.

As the Brand’s name means “rooster” in Spanish, I decided to depict it with a hand-drawn illustration channeling Ancient Maya/Aztec Art and Mexican folklore.

The overall feel of the logo is vintage with a modern twist, amplified by the bold & playful serif font. The color palette is bright - created to reference the green & red of the Mexican flag, but avoiding literal & stereotypical representations.
