The Wetter, The Better

The Songkran Festival is a fun event in Thailand where people spray each other with supersoakers endlessly, so I captured that lively energy with curvy water forms, similar to the pattern-making in the country's textiles. There's also a religious origin to the event, cleansing the body of the previous year's bad luck as a buddha head shapes the center's negative space. Nine smaller symbols of Thailand can be found within the pattern-making, since nine is the country's luckiest number, representing only good fortunefor the year ahead.
