Backstory for context:

Wood Woof™ was born on 2020 during the world Covid-19 crisis and seeks to merge architecture to an unexplored territory: hand-crafted quality design solutions for human's best friend, dogs!

After various explorations in product design, the goal is to solve some of the existent problems in the pet products industry, starting with dog houses.

This evolved into an open concept, environmentally friendly design, up-cycling of materials, and climate adaptation for these houses and further more into other products.

The original branding merged the representation of the house and the canine, however it wasn't as flexible for other categories such as beds and collars.

Fun fact: dogs see better the colors blue and yellow, this inspired the original color palette.

Creative Brief: 

Scope: 

- Rebranding of the original mascot and combination mark to use in social media (Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, and future Website) and various promotional merchandize (dog products, t-shirts, mugs). ​​​​​​​

- Refresh the color palette for a warmer look.

- Create patterns 

- Replace the ® into ™ 

- Focus on the lifestyle more than the products.

Audience: 

- Dog owners, dog trainers, veterinarians, pet shops (resellers).

- Middle class, high class citizens that love dogs.

- New families adopting dogs.

- Environmentalist or simply don't like to give plastic toys to their pets.

- Quality design enthusiasts.

- Ages 13-50+

Competition: 

Local pet stores, woodworkers in the niche, Facebook Marketplace pet stores.

Goals: 

Create a new visual identity, pet-centric, kid-friendly yet high quality portraying brand, ready to use on merchandize and potential expansion for a future shop, app and Youtube channel.

Meet the new mascot: Woofgang!

Woofgang is a fuzzy caramel chihuahua that loves to lounge around the house and be pampered all day, it also enjoys exploring the world, meeting friends along the way. Relaxed, jolly and adventurous all wrapped up on a fun size extravaganza.
