Chornobyl, 36 years later

On this day 36 years ago the disaster at Chornobyl nuclear power plant has shaken the world. Radiative release equal to 300 Hiroshimas with its epicenter in Northern Ukraine has spread all over Europe. 36 years later, we hope that all lessons have been learned and there won’t be another nuclear disaster like that. Chornobyl Exclusion Zone remains a strong reminder for the Ukrainian people, who have lost the most in this tragedy. Today we commemorate the memory of all the firefighters and liquidators, who have lost their lives in this catastrophe.
