Type-sketch Blog

I am fascinated with typography, but without formal training in the field (I have an Illustration degree from RIT), I wanted to create a playground to jump right in, start sketching, and post the results — no matter how amateurish they may be.

This is the first day of the blog design, with type sketches starting now to get a head start on content.

I'd like to send out a big thanks to http://dribbble.com/jessicahische, http://dribbble.com/super_furry, and http://dribbble.com/joncontino for the amazing inspiration they provide to the community with their work — I wouldn't be starting this project without that.

UPDATE: Decided to build this with Wordpress, though I know Tumblr would have been the easiest option. The web enthusiast in me is getting caught up wanting to learn more and more about Wordpress. The type enthusiast in me is sketching on a daily basis and getting frustrated as hell. Just part of the process, right. ; )
