Urbana Library Brochure

For a design assignment, I created a brochure for my local library at the time, the Urbana Free Library. I ended up advertising the library’s children’s services, with my audience consisting of parents of young children living in the Urbana area.

Libraries sometimes carry the perception of being outdated or boring, so one of the goals of the design was to be colorful and playful. I wanted to emphasize the many services in addition to lending books that the library provides. I also aimed to emphasize that the library is a warm, welcoming place for the whole community.

The back of the brochure is designed to be removed and cut up to create tangrams that you can play with.
